WHAT IS HAPPENING NEXT ?
We are all ready to hit the road across South Africa in March 2013, and would like you to come along with us. On the ground we have an overland team of 10 people who are split into two groups. The first is the production team, which includes the Film Director, Director of Photography, Editor, Scriptwriter, and Project Coordinator. In the second team we have four ‘responsible participants’, who are somewhat like facilitators, who help create the social learning arenas on the ground that can be used by children and, later, by the wider community. Included in this team is a spatial designer/landscape architect and data capturer who is researching schools along the way to find ways in which we can support schools according to their needs, over and above our dynamic social learning program.
We are currently putting together the equipment and resources needed for the journey along with other endorsements. We have also made substantial connections with partners in the USA and UK.
HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT US?
Your organization will benefit greatly from the wide media exposure that comes with this project. All financial and in-kind sponsorship is tax deductible, and over 75% of the children we work with come from previously disadvantaged communities, which meets all of the corporate social investment criteria. We have a detailed budget and wish-list, which we can send to you on request. Our current costs for the sprouting phase stand at R6 700 000.00, we have broken these costs down to specific aspects of the project with which your company or organization could contribute.
If you choose to support the Sprouting phase, your organization is also guaranteed the sole rights to continue to support that’s specific aspect of the project for the following Tree Trunk phase and Branch phase of the project.
